Programmes:
A list of some of the past & current programmes run through the SSP:

SSP Sports Coaches(SSC): Youth Sport Trust plans via the SSP to build up more coaches to go into schools and support schools where possible. Looking to offer young people greater opportunities with community coaches.
SSC- Grants: The SSP offer grants to all secondary schools to increase quality coaching out of curriculum. This can be in lunch / evening or at weekends and where possible link to community clubs and increase capacity with coaches in the schools.
Big Lottery: (Out of School Hours) eg: (sailing/golf /cricket/volleyball/health & beauty)
School based programme to offer quality activity sessions in schools
Living for Sport (BSKYB):
School programme to engage young people utilising sport as the key (behaviour/issues)
Living for Sport (SKY V):Volunteer project for 16 to 24 year olds. Key to offer disengaged young people opportunities and lead them on to the volunteer pathway.
Extended Activity (Sport Unlimited) This offered activities to school pupils (golf & Cheerleading were offered) with a very small fee for the students with the aim to get some to progress on to join a club in the community. This programme has now been set up to run through CSPAN's. (Community Sports Network)
Chance to shine:
School based cricket programme to engage all school ages to play cricket with club links
Multi Ethnic Cricket Programme:
Inclusion project to offer cricket for Central College
Outdoor Adventurous Activities:
Primary project to offer orienteering for young people, outward bound festival days at primary level. Building up leadership for younger people in an outside environment.
Leadership Programmes: CSLA/JSLA & Young Leaders (Wake & Shake)
Young Ambassadors Programme: A leadership programme to empower young people as Olympic Ambassadors.
Step into Sport: Takes pupils to the next level of volunteering. From school to beyond the school gates.
